Paolo Orlandi
Paolo Orlandi was born in Tione di Trento on November 23, 1989 and began studying the piano at the age of eight. After the first years under the guidance of Roberta Carlini, he graduated with Antonella Costa and perfected with Laura Di Paolo. In July 2011 he obtained the 1st level Academic Diploma with full marks and honors at the F. A. Bonporti Conservatory of Trento. In March 2014 he also obtained the 2nd level Academic Diploma with full marks and honors at the Conservatory of Trento. From 2014 to 2016 he attended the postgraduate course in Music Education at the University of Padua. In 2014 he won the third prize at the second edition of the International Sacred Music Competition “David Maria Turoldo” with a composition for mixed choir a cappella Cieli, sprinkle your dew. The following year he won the special “City of Oderzo – Zeno Lovato” prize at the “Oderzo Music Academy Award” with the composition Acclaim the Lord, all of the earth. In 2016 he won the 3rd prize in the “Poesie in Musica – Renato della Torre” competition with the piece Soreli sul nevâl for four-voice male choir. In 2018 he won the 2nd prize at the International Competition for children’s choirs “Corinfesta” with the composition Lenta la neve fiocca and entered among the finalists of the International Composition Competition “Seghizzi” with the piece for mixed double choir Consolatio. 1st prize at the “Komos” International Competition organized by the Gay Komos Choir of Bologna. Since 2012 he has been a teacher of piano and ensemble music at the S.M.A.G. (Alto Garda Music School) of Riva del Garda.
