Maurizio Santoiemma
He is an electronic engineer specializing in electronic music. Until 2000 he collaborated with the Computational Sonology Center of the University of Padua and with some private companies in the study, design and construction of electronic components and speech synthesis programs and for digital sound processing.
Always passionate about music, he studied classical guitar, piano, jazz harmony and improvisation, composition, choral singing and choir conducting with various masters.
He attends numerous courses and seminars organized by Feniarco (Italian National Federation of Regional Choral Associations) especially on youth chorality, conducted by masters of international prestige. He teaches Information Technologies in a Technical Institute in the province of Padua, where he founded and directs the school choir. He also directs an amateur choir in the province of Vicenza.
His musical production includes solo instrumental works or for small ensembles, vocal compositions, music and songs for theatrical performances, arrangements and orchestrations, songs for children. He has received recommendations and prizes in numerous competitions for choral music composition, especially for children’s voices, including in 2009 the single prize for the composition of a mimic scene at the Vittorio Veneto International Fairy Tale Composition Competition.
