Giacomo Zumpano

He graduated in Piano (1991), Electronic Music (1996) and Composition (1997) at the “S. Cecilia ”in Rome. Specialization in Computer Music in Florence at the “Centro Tempo Reale” directed by L. Berio.

From 1987 to today he has composed or recorded incidental music for more than 100 theatrical performances (many of which on multi-year national tour and many musical performances). He has performed in Italian, French and Swiss theaters accompanying recitals by actors and singers on the piano.

For the cinema he composed and directed the soundtracks of some short films, including “The plot of Hamlet” by S. Chiosi, selected for the 62nd Venice International Film Festival in the Special Events category and “The secret of Santo ”by H. Ducroux, first prize (young jury) at the Mauro Bolognini Festival in Pistoia, music performed by the Tuscany Region Orchestra, conducted by the author. He collaborated as a composer with the La Sapienza University of Rome, as part of the Theatron project, Teatro Antico alla Sapienza.
